According to SAIT’s facilities management website, there are currently six elevators under construction on campus that have been out of service for a long time. The website states that the upgrades are being done to enhance performance, safety, and efficiency while minimizing downtime.
Some students have expressed concern that the facility management should prioritize the needs of those who require elevators. Although there is a timeline available to show the progress, some students are still curious about the outcome of the upgrades. Due to the long period that these elevators have been out of service, many users have experienced inconvenience. However, one of the instructors is hopeful that the upcoming plan will ensure the reliable operation of the elevators at all times.
There are still many students who are unaware of any information regarding the upgrades or how long the process will take.
