Stoney trail has been shut down this morning following a serious collision in the southwest.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Calgary’s ring road at 17th Avenue near Old Banff Coach Road NW around 6:30AM.
A City of Calgary traffic report indicated that the crash occurred near 5:30AM.
Police have closed the northbound lanes of the highway following the incident. The closure is still in effect as of 10:30AM.
There’s no access to Stoney Trail from Bow Trail SW. Drivers are advised to take another route.
