The City of Calgary’s Animal Service Centre has announced a Post-Thanksgiving Adoptathon from Thursday, October 17th, to Saturday, October 19th.
Hours:
– October 17th to 18th: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
– October 19th: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The reason for this Adoptathon is that shelters are full of pets after the holiday.
“We are over capacity at the shelter, and we know these pets will make wonderful companions,” said Ashley De Nooij, Coordinator of Administration & Pet Licensing at Calgary Animal Services. “By lowering adoption fees, we hope to encourage more people to adopt, helping us provide a safe and loving environment for all our animals. Each adoption truly makes a difference.”
During these three days, adoption fees will be lowered:
– Cats: $50
– Dogs: $75
Each adopted pet will include:
– Spaying/neutering
– Microchipping
– Twelve-month City of Calgary license
– First set of vaccinations
– Deworming treatments
