The provincial government of Alberta has signed an agreement for four years with resident physicians. The agreement would see wages increased to 10 percent in four years
According to the president of the Alberta Medical Association, the deal is a positive step, however, it won’t solve immediate challenges in the health sector system such as a lack of access to family physicians by thousands of Albertans
Someone or persons who have graduated from medical school and are about to complete post-graduate training in a residency program to obtain his or her license to practice is referred to us as a resident physician.
