SAIT's escalators are out of service for several months, inconveniencing many students.

There are technical issues with some of the SAIT campuses’ signs, and the Stand Grand building has been experiencing problems with its escalators for several months. Escalators are an essential means of access in every building, providing easy control for students to move up or down.

Due to lack of maintenance, some students and staff find it difficult to attend classes on higher floors. Although stairs or elevators can be used, they also cause inconvenience as many students use them at the same time.

One student with a disability expressed their frustration with the situation, as not only are the escalators out of order, but some of the elevators are also not functioning. This has forced them to take a longer route to move around the campus.

Although the SAIT Facility Service and Maintenance website indicates that the escalators are back to normal, some people are still wondering how long they will continue to function.
