SAIT — The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology’s (SAIT) School of Hospitality and Tourism has been named the top hospitality school in Canada by CEO WORLD magazine and ranked 13th globally, up one spot from last year.
The rankings, which evaluated 118 hospitality and hotel management programs around the world, were based on seven metrics, including brand influence, job placement rates, and academic reputation. The data was drawn from feedback from over 250,000 graduates, employers, recruiters, and industry leaders across 124 regions.
“We’re working toward a top 10 global ranking in the future,” said Associate Dean Hala Dehais. “It’s a big goal, but our students and alumni are key to getting us there. They represent SAIT in Canada and beyond and help us create global connections through the practical, high-quality education they receive here.”

Associate Dean Dehais said the honour reflects the dedication of SAIT’s faculty, students, and alumni.
“We’re honoured to be number one in Canada,” she said. “This recognition is incredible because it’s based on what the world thinks of our education, our students, and alumni.”
Students say the global ranking validates their experience.
“For me, as a student, it means I’m really getting the best education and hands-on experience in hospitality,” said Angelina Jose, a SAIT hospitality student.
International student Jody Liwanag said it’s a major advantage.
“We get great exposure and amazing opportunities,” she said.
