SAIT is introducing the Bachelor of Technology Degree starting in Fall 2025.

Bachelor of Technology at SAIT
The BTech program will offer two options for students wanting to work in the IT world. The options are software development and cybersecurity. Subrata Biswas, the academic chair of the school of advanced technology, says these are the two most demanding programs in the tech industry. He says these programs are introduced at the perfect time to fill a worker’s demand gap.
The program is offered in a two-plus-two format for students to pair with their current diploma. This will allow students already enrolled at SAIT to continue their studies there and graduate with a degree after 4 years of studies. To do so, students need to be enrolled in a program in Advanced Technologies.
Abi McEvoy is currently enrolled in the Architectural Technologies program at SAIT. Despite not being familiar with computers before coming to SAIT, Abi now loves working with the software needed for her program. “Software is my favorite part of my program. I was not expected to like is as much as I do, but I love working with my software,” Abi says. Because of that, she is seriously considering the Software Development program after she is done her current program.
Subrata says this allows students to get more jobs opportunities out of school. “The students are showing really good interest so far, and we are really pleased,” he adds.
Applications are now open to apply for Fall 2025.
