Five rookies will be in the field for the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday: Kimi Antonelli, Jack Doohan, Ollie Bearman, Gabriel Bortoleto, and Isack Hadjar.
7-time F1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton will make his debut with Scuderia Ferrari. “It’s really cool to be in the red garage now.” Hamilton said.
Max Verstappen of Oracle Red Bull is chasing his 5th-straight title this season, a feat that has only been achieved once before by Michael Schumacher, who won 5 of his 7 world championships consecutively from 2000 to 2004.
Verstappen would also tie Juan Manuel Fangio for 2nd in all-time Drivers’ Championships.
The 24-race schedule starts in the land down under, and will finish in Abu Dhabi, December 7.
