On November 29th The Calgary police arrested 8-male Calgary youth in relation to 14 separate robberies all in a two week span.
CPS says all robberies were very similar in nature and consisted of small groups of male youth stealing items like cell phones, jewelry, and electronics. All robberies would roll out the same with one or two males stealing the items while the others would distract workers by destroying merchandise.
All 8-youth were charged with the following:
- 27 counts of robbery
- 16 counts of theft under $5,000
- 3 counts of assault
- 26 breaches of conditions
These incidents are still under investigation and CPS said they are still in the midst of finding more evidence and identifying others involved in these robberies.
