Flames survive gun-show in Columbus

To call last-nights clash offensively minded would be an understatement. It was two of the leagues best teams flexing their offensive muscles and the find-a-way Flames did what they do best and found a way to walk out of Ohio with 2 points.

9-6 was the final for Nationwide arena, Cam Atkinson had a hat trick for the Jackets but Gaudreau and Monahan both had 2 goals and 2 assists for Calgary.

After trailing 4-1 in the second, the Flames’ offense kicked into overdrive and they went on to score 5 unanswered from 5 different players.

In the 3rd the teams would trade blows but the Flames outlasted the Jackets.

With the win the Flames remain atop the Pacific, 3 points ahead of 2nd place Anaheim.

Calgary is back in action Thursday when they host the Wild.
