From December 3rd to the 7th it is REDress week at SAIT with dresses hung all around campus.
REDress was started by Metis Artist Jaime Black in honor of the 1,200 plus Indigenous Women who were murdered or gone missing.
Gean Dube, the aboriginal student advisor at the Chinook Lodge talked about the importance of the REDress campaign.
“I wanted to honor these women and bring their stories to life”
Dube, later went on to talk about the paper heads which are made to honor missing women.
