MLB Strikes new broadcasting deal

The MLB will have a home at FOX for at least ten more years.

The league announced Thursday the agreement on a seven year, 5.1 billion dollar deal with Fox to keep the broadcasting rights until 2028 at the earliest.  The new deal will keep the same structure as the current one, and Fox will own the rights to broadcast the Division series, Championship Series and the World Series, with options to move broadcasts to Fox Sports 1 if necessary.

The new contract will kick in in 2021 after their current deal ends in 2020.
