The Calgary city council had a meeting today to review the plebiscite, and the conversation got a bit heated.
The conversation started with the new tabulator machine but, was quickly redirected to public outreach.
The other day councilor Jeremy Farkas held an event the other day and said “dozens of people didn’t know the vote was occurring.”
The plebiscite planners brought up that they were advertising heavily in print media, which immediately changed the conversation to the under 30 vote and how it might be neglected.
The planners went to sixty senior homes but, are only putting polling stations on 2 campuses in the city. Advanced polls open November 6th and the full vote is on November 13th .
