Skiers uplifted after record snowfall

The beginning of October was an all white party for skiers in Alberta, the record snowfall tagged with beautiful weather formed an early skiers paradise. Ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains were able to open up a month earlier than usual. Both Sunshine Village and Norquay ski resorts already have a base of about 100cm with over 50 nicely groomed runs.

Marmot Basin ski resort has six out of seven lifts and 53 runs open out of 91 along with 100cm worth of snow.

Skiers are still waiting for Lake Louise and Kananaskis ski resorts to open up.
