Today’s meeting started off with an unexpected firework show.
Councillor Jeromy Farkas said that the agenda was given with not enough time to review recommending, an hour recess for Councillors to go over the plan.
Councillor Jyoti Gondek went on to explain that she flipped her life upside down to review the plan, stating that she was “insulted” by the call for a recess.
The decision was then denied in a vote of fifteen to one.
Council went on to discuss the budget with ninety percent of it going towards essentials such as infrastructure, and the remaining ten percent going toward one time projects and maintenance.
Councillor Evan Woolley questioned why they would even need public input if such a large amount of the plan was already decided for.
Everything said today about the plan is not officially set in stone, and council is set to meet again on October 11th to go over the plan in full.
