It’s a long wait for Calgarians trying to get across 25th Ave and Macleod trail. During Stampede the unpopular intersection that sits right next to
Ward 9 Councillor Gian-Carlo Carra has pushed for a solution for the troublesome intersection, he’s just as frustrated as the rest of us.
“You know I was sitting there with my son and he tells me Dad this is a really long light and I’m like true that,” Carra says.
Carra isn’t the only one done with the intersection. Calgarian Jackie Tran is just as fed up.
“It’s the worst intersection in Calgary,” Tran says. “The lights take at least three minutes each way, they have to do something about this.”
City council proposed a possible flyover, or changes to the LRT station across the street. Both fixes could be quite expensive.
