Sean Monahan notched his 26th and 27th goals to help lead the Calgary Flames to a 3-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils last night.

Monahan is chasing history as his second goal of the night which was his tenth game-winning goal of the season.

That tied him with Jarome Iginla for second on the Flames single season GWG list and put him two back of Joe Mullen who the franchise leader with twelve in the 1986-87 season.

Monahan also has three straight game-winning goals which put him one behind the NHL record of four.

Johnny Gaudreau scored the Flames second goal and assisted on Monahan’s game-winner.

Mike Smith had the night off and backup David Rittich made 30 saves helping the Flames improve to 15-5-5 on the road.
