Hockey Canada has announced the 32 invites to their annual World Junior camp and among them is 19 year old Calgary native Jake Bean. The camp runs Dec. 12-15 at Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, ON.
Bean was a part of the 2017 Canadian World Junior team that captured a silver medal at last year IIHF World junior Championship.
The Carolina Hurricanes prospect currently leads the Hitmen in scoring with 25 points in 24 games. The 2016 first round pick helped Canada capture its eighth consecutive gold medal at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup in the summer of 2015, so with Bean’s extensive experience playing for Canada and the fact he is a returning player from last year’s team bodes well for his chances to make the final roster.
