Alberta RCMP are looking for a driver who left the scene after striking and killing a pedestrian this morning.

The incident happened on a highway between Carseland and Gleichen in the area of the Siksika First Nation.

Police were called to the scene just before 4:00 a.m. and closed Highway 901 in order to bring in a collision analyst.

RCMP investigators believe the suspect was driving a grey Honda but have few other details about the vehicle.

Anyone with information about the incident or anyone who saw a grey Honda in the area with significant damage is asked to call the Gleichen RCMP at 403-734-3056, a local police detachment, or Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
