Violent act in NYC UPDATE**
UPDATE (7:35, November 1st)
The identity has been released for the man who led a terror attack in Manhattan yesterday.
29 year old, Sayfullo Saipov, is originally from Uzbekistan.
Saipov originally moved to the U.S. back in 2010 and worked as an Uber driver for several months, completing over 1,400 trips.
Prior to becoming a an Uber driver, Saipov was a commercial truck driver out of Ohio.
UPDATE (15:52): Suspect is now known as a 29 year old Male, name has yet to be released. Police say after leaving his vehicle he said “God is great” in Arabic, leading them to believe these are acts of terror. Six people pronounced dead at the scene, two later at hospital, and 11 sent to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
 UPDATE(15:30):  Eight people are now dead and more than 15 injured after the driver of a truck drove the wrong way down a well-trafficked bike path, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said: “This was an act of terror, and a particularly cowardly act of terror,” he said.

ORIGINAL(13:30): At least 6 are confirmed dead after a violent accident today in New York City.

The driver of a truck drove into an oncoming bike lane in Manhattan killing six people and injuring at least 15. The driver proceeded to get out of his vehicle with imitation weapons where he was shot by local police. He was transported to hospital with his conditions unknown at this time.

F-B-I are currently treating the attack as an act of terrorism after it was reported from on scene police that the attacks were most likely deliberate.
