Calgary has lost its bid to host Amazon’s second North American Headquarters.
The online retailer announced on Thursday that Toronto is the only Canadian city that made the shortlist that could potentially host HQ2.
Mary Moran from Calgary Economic Development admits its a disappointment.
She pointed out that there is a need for a stronger labour pool in the tech sector.
Amazon reviewed over 200 proposals from cities across north america including Edmonton and Vancouver.
