There may not be much snow on the ground, but drivers are still asked to help keep Alberta roads safe this winter by driving to conditions and giving snow plows room to work.
Alberta is known for unpredictable weather and minister of transportation Brian Mason spoke today to remind Albertans about road safety.
Mason says we can all play a role in keeping our roads safe by slowing down and driving to conditions.
Drivers are also advised to use extra caution when travelling near snowplow equipment by leaving extra space and only passing when it’s safe to do so.
Mason says the number of collisions spike in the winter months, with significantly higher numbers in November, December and January.
