The Calgary Flames 6 game road trip trudges along in Dallas today. The Flames have picked up at least a point in their last 3 road games after losing 8-2 in Detroit to kick off the road trip. Backup goalie Eddie Lack, who took a lot of the blame in that 8-2 loss was put on waivers yesterday and if he clears will have some time in the AHL to turn his game around. The Flames went 2-0-1 after that loss but will face a tough test in the Dallas Stars. Dallas is outside of a playoff spot but they have been hard to beat at home. The Stars have lost just twice in ten home games. The teams are almost identical in terms of goals for/goals against which could lead to a tight affair, just like their last meeting in Calgary. The Flames lost that game 2-1 after Alexander Radulov beat Mike Smith in the third period to seal the victory. Johnny Gaudreau scored the only goal in that game and is currently 3rd in NHL points scoring.
