Police have obtained new information related to a 2016 shooting in southwest Calgary that left one man in serious condition. With this new information comes new questions and authorities believe the public can help them answers said questions.
Late on Monday, Dec. 19th, 2016 police were called to the 2200 block of 7 Street S.W. with reports of a shooting. Police found a man inside a vehicle and immediately rushed him to hospital in serious condition, he later recovered. About 5 minutes later police were called to a vehicle fire just blocks away.Investigation has shown a white SUV was seen leaving the scene at a high rate of speed and is believed to be the same vehicle found ablaze.
“It has been nearly a year since the shooting. A lot can happen in a year – people can talk and allegiances can change. We know there are people out there who know what happened and we want to speak with them,” says CPS Staff Sgt. Jodi Gach.
