Sean “Money-Hands” Monahan tickled the twine in overtime to seal a 4-3 win in Tinsel Town. The Flames dominated out of the gate jumping to a 2-0 lead but the lead was short lived. LA stormed back with 3 straight goals taking the lead on 2 goals from Dustin Brown. Matthew Tkachuk also scored twice, most importantly with 12 minutes remaining to tie the game at 3-3. It was also Jaromir Jagr’s debut, he finished with 0 pts and was minus 1 but didn’t look out of step at all. Mike Smith was also money once again for Calgary stopping over 40 shots improving the Flames record to 3-1-0. The Ottawa Senators will come to town Friday looking to end Calgary’s 3 game winning streak.
