Ricardo Miranda took the stand at the Calgary Film Centre today to make an exciting announcement. A new and improved grant program is being introduced in Alberta’s Film, Television and Digital Media Industry to help support and create new jobs in the Province. Last year the governments investment in screen-based production translated into a contribution of nearly 194 million to Alberta’s GDP. It’s a huge leap forward for the film industry in Alberta as it will help attract more tourism, job seekers, investors and entrepreneurs. The new grant program will begin accepting applications on October 25th.
