Today it has been announced that 11 new Alberta Supports Centre have been opened in north-central Alberta.
Through the help of the Centre’s, Albertans can connect easily with a wide range of supporters such as Alberta Seniors Benefit, Child Care Subsidy, and Income Support.
Minister of Community and Social Services, Irfan Sabir, said in a news article, “During tough times, Albertans need and deserve to have supports that are easily accessible and are provided in a friendly, respectful environment.As part of our governments commitment to protect and improve the things that make a difference, we are expanding access to these critical services…”
Throughout the province there are more than 40 Centre’s that are all based on being person-centred with the guidance of the Alberta Supports coordinators.
Albertans can connect with over 30 different social programs and 120 community services for seniors, employment, financial needs, children and youth, parents and families, people with disabilities, guardianship and trusteeship, abuse, bullying, and family violence prevention.
